Dermalux Tri-Wave LED Therapy

DERMALUX TRI WAVE LED LIGHT THERAPY IN BELSIZE PARK, HAMPSTEAD, PRIMROSE HILL AND ST JOHN’S WOOD, NORTH WEST LONDON

For Skin Health & Musculoskeletal Recovery

At its core, Dermalux Tri-Wave is about healing, whether that's restoring the health and resilience of your skin or supporting the recovery of deeper tissues affected by musculoskeletal pain. This award-winning, non-invasive LED light therapy uses the power of clinically proven wavelengths to stimulate skin regeneration, reduce inflammation, and promote recovery at a cellular level.

At our Belsize Park clinic in North West London, we use Dermalux Tri-Wave as both a standalone treatment for skin health and a supportive therapy for those managing pain or injury, in collaboration with our on-site osteopath. With no discomfort or downtime, it’s an ideal option for anyone looking to support their body’s natural healing processes, whether you’re focused on clearer, stronger skin or physical recovery.

What Is Dermalux Tri-Wave and How Does It Work?

Dermalux Tri-Wave combines three clinically proven wavelengths, blue, red, and near-infrared light, to treat a wide range of skin and tissue concerns. These light wavelengths are absorbed by the skin and underlying cells, triggering a biological response that supports regeneration, reduces inflammation, and restores balance.

Each wavelength offers specific benefits:

Blue light (415nm): Targets acne-causing bacteria, reducing breakouts and calming inflammation

Red light (633nm): Boosts collagen production, improves circulation, and reduces redness

Near-infrared light (830nm): Penetrates deeper into the skin and soft tissue to relieve joint pain, calm inflammation, and support musculoskeletal healing

The Tri-Wave can be used as a customised combination, depending on your skin or physical health goals.

Dermalux for Skin Health

This treatment is particularly effective for managing:

Acne and breakouts

Rosacea and redness

Rosacea and redness

Sun damage and pigmentation

Post-procedure healing

Ageing skin and fine lines

General dullness, dehydration, or sensitivity

Whether you're using it as a standalone skin treatment or to accelerate healing following injectables, peels, or microneedling, LED therapy is a powerful tool for strengthening skin barrier function and promoting long-term radiance. It’s painless, restorative, and suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive.

We often recommend a course of treatments for chronic skin conditions like acne, rosacea, or sensitivity, while many clients enjoy a single session to boost glow, reduce inflammation, or calm skin pre-event.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. LED light therapy is suitable for all skin tones and types, even sensitive or inflamed skin. It’s safe, non-invasive, and doesn’t involve heat or UV.

  • For skin concerns, we typically recommend a course of 6-10 sessions, depending on your goals. For muscular or joint recovery, your osteopath or aesthetic practitioner will advise on the best frequency for you.

  • Absolutely. Dermalux Tri-Wave is often used to enhance recovery and results after injectables, microneedling, PRX-T33, and other aesthetic procedures. It can also be used alongside manual therapy or osteopathy to support deeper tissue healing.

  • Not at all. The treatment is completely painless and often deeply relaxing. You simply rest under the light with protective goggles on.

  • Many patients notice brighter, calmer skin after just one session, but optimal results, especially for acne, scarring, or pain management, build over time with regular treatments.

  • We’re based in Belsize Park, North West London, and welcome patients from Hampstead, Primrose Hill, St John’s Wood, and nearby areas.

What to Expect from Your Treatment

Your treatment begins with a full consultation to assess your skin type, concerns and goals. We will create a tailored plan that includes pre- and post-treatment guidance to support healing and maximise your results.

On the day of treatment, a topical numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort. The SkinPen device is then passed over the skin in a precise pattern, creating thousands of microchannels. The treatment usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the area being treated.

After treatment, the skin may appear red and feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn. This generally settles within 24 to 48 hours. Most people resume normal activities within a day or two. It is important to follow your aftercare plan and avoid certain skincare products or sun exposure while the skin is healing.

For optimal results, we typically recommend a course of three to six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Results build gradually as the skin regenerates and collagen continues to develop.

Dermalux Tri-Wave for Musculoskeletal Pain & Recovery

In partnership with our on-site osteopath, Dermalux Tri-Wave is also available as a supportive therapy for those recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or dealing with inflammation or stiffness.

Near-infrared light reaches deeper tissues, helping to:

- Increase circulation

- Reduce local inflammation

- Ease joint or muscle pain

- Accelerate tissue repair

- Support postural or physical rehabilitation

LED therapy can be applied before or after osteopathy treatments, or used independently to support chronic conditions such as back pain, sports injuries, or postural strain.
